CBI is the only event of its kind that allows student-athletes from less visible conferences to display their basketball skills for pro scouts and NBA general managers. Cal State L.A. was fortunate to have a student-athlete invited to the inaugural event and he came back with rave reviews about his experience with CBI."

Charles Guthrie
Associate Athletic Director
"I was pleasantly surprised by what a first-rate event the CBI was.
John McCarthy and the community of Wadsworth opened their arms to these young athletes and they responded with showcasing some terrific talent that is abundant at the Division II, III and NAIA level."

Joe Lombardi
Head Coach Indiana University of Pennsylvania

"I have never been a part of anything like that and I will never forget it!"

Jarekus Singleton
William Carey University
NAIA Division I National Player of the Year
"The talent level and the character of the players, combined with the effort and intensity displayed on the court, provided a unique playing and viewing experience throughout the event.  The players were not only willing to be coached, but wanted to win and were willing to put forth the effort each game.  This was a great first year to what will be an outstanding annual event for the players and programs from Division II, III and the NAIA."

David McLaughlin, Head Coach, Stonehill College.
"The Collegiate Basketball invitational not only allowed me to play against the best competition in the country but it helped me get attention from many agents and european scouts."
